"Read More" disappears with Twenty Sixteen
-
With the Twenty Ten theme, once the reader selected a sub-category (ex. Europe) from the menu, it pulled up a succinct list of all blogs with that tag. After updating to Twenty Sixteen, once the reader selects a sub-category from the menu, it pulls up all the blogs with the tag…but it’s the full blog rather than a one-sentence summary that allows for the reader to click “Read More…” if they want to read the blog. This is resulting in picture-heavy sub-categories to load extremely slowly. (Ex. Europe Sub-Category) Am I missing a check-mark somewhere that would allow the sub-category to list the cut-down blog posts rather than have the full blog posted?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi @alisonlcohn,
Although Twenty Sixteen doesn’t automatically insert a read more link, you can manually insert one via the “more” tag. We have guidance on how to use this tag here:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/more-tag/
The link to “read more” will appear at the point you insert the tag in your post.
Let me know if that’s helpful or if you have any extra questions.
