"Read more…" doesn't display when using more tag or excerpt

  I’m using the Sapor theme. The theme’s default auto-truncating gives problems with posts with a short introduction, so I want to use a custom cut-off point for the introduction, but it doesn’t work.

  This post describes my problem pretty well, but when I try to use the solution proposed in that thread it doesn’t work.

  Basically when I try to use the “More”-tag “Read more” doesn’t display. When I try to use an excerpt instead of that, “Read more” also doesn’t display.
  I’ve also tried setting the blog display option in my blog’s customization settings to “post excerpt”, but then “Read more” also doesn’t show up. Theme bug?

  If there is no quick solution, could someone recommend me a theme that is similar to Sapor and that doesn’t have this annoying problem?

  The second post from the top of my blog shows the problem (in this case using the “excerpt” feature). Clicking on the post’s title goes to the full post, but I want the “Read more”-message to show up.

  By the way, specifying a custom message in the “More”-tag as shown on one of the help pages also doesn’t work…
