"Read more" Front Page of Blog
-
My reading and appearance settings are: The front page of my blog is my latest posts (three of my latest posts to be specific). As of now, they show the full post. I was wondering if there was anyway to have only the first paragraph of the post and then a “read more” option to view the full post which will direct you to another page of just that post (where you can press the “like” button and so forth). I tired to change the preferences in the Reading settings to: Summary but that didnt change a thing. Basically since I cant get the like button to show below each post on the front page I want the viewer to have to click to read the rest of the post which will lead them to the full page post where the like button will be presented.

To display a “Read more” link on your front page, you’ll want to use the “More Tag” instead:
