read more glitch
-
read more block is causing the text above read more to appear twice! it ruins the reason to have a ‘read more’ in the first place!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

if I remove the read more, it’s one coherent post. with the read more, it’s repeating in this strange fashion.
-
Hmm, if I visit that page on my end, I see the readmore button, but I do not see the text is repeated.
Do I see something different than what you see on your end? If so can you share a screenshot of what you are seeing if you visit https://aroojbasitmalik.wordpress.com/category/game-dev/ so we can compare?
Thanks for the additional info!

Ah, I see, the full post is repeated a second time (just out of view of my screenshot) does this happen on any other pages of your site, or only on https://aroojbasitmalik.wordpress.com/category/game-dev/
I’m not sure that I saw a “read more” block in use on any of your other posts. Is this the only one?
-
It happens on every post. I haven’t kept it on any other post since I want potential employers to see this site and not have to see the repeated posts. But yes, it happens all over my site on every post. I have kept the ‘read more’ block on this specific post just to share it here and get a solution for it. :(

I zoomed out on the page so the repeat is more visible: https://aroojbasitmalik.files.wordpress.com/2020/11/1-19.png

Thanks for clarifying. I’ve tried this on a test site (also using the Twenty Twenty theme) and for me the More Block does not cause the post content to appear a second time.
Taking a closer look at your site, and why it’s happening there but not on my test site. I’ll update you here with what I found, but for now you can remove the More block on your post so that it does not affect visits to your site.
Thanks for your patience!

Hi again,
After some testing I can see that the issue is that you are using the Layout Grid Block, and adding the More Block inside of that. It seems that this is causing the content to show twice, which I am able to confirm on my test site.
I have reported this issue to the open-source WordPress community (they work on code for the editor) but I do not have a timeline for when this will be fixed. In the meantime, it is possible to use the More block outside of the Layout grid block, and that works fine. So you may want to consider adding your image and introductory text outside or before of the Layout grid, then add the More block, then continue as normal using the Layout Grid to construct the rest of your post.
Hope this helps!

Alright, thank you for letting me know! I have found quite a few issues like this and it’s making creating a website very difficult :(
Thank you for letting me know! -
We’re happy to look at any other issues you run across and file a bug report if need be. Just let us know, thanks!

Should I create a new post? and how do I post pictures of my issues on this foram? post carousel isn’t working either :(

Last questions! sorry!
how do I post pictures of my issues on this foram?
should I consider this resolved even though the issue is still there? -
