‘Read More’ In My Blog Post Emails to my Subscibers

    Hey! I was wondering how you add a ‘read more’ tag into an email to your followers. This email says ‘New Post’ and on mine it gives ALL the post, but I want it to say read more so they actually visit my blog. Can you help me with that? Thanks so much!

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi @godsgirli, no problem. You’ll want to adjust the reading settings here:

    Set For each article in a feed to Summary and then save your changes.

    Hi @supermovia I clicked the link and found some awesome stuff I didn’t know you could do, (thank you!) But, what I don’t see is how to set “Read more” in my emailed posts so people actually go to my site. Sorry, I may not have explained that well or I may be missing something.

    It’s not possible to customize that outgoing new post notification email in that desired way. I see that your posts display the “continue reading” option on the site but that doesn’t transfer over in to those emails.

    I’m going to see what alternatives I can find. Will report back.

    ah, I found it.

    In the settings that supernovia linked to we had to change the option of For each article in a feed, show from full post to summary

    I made that change. Let me know if it works.
