'Read more' link not there – In Forever theme

Hi All,
The Homepage of my blog features the first few lines of each post, plus a picture. Then, you click on “Read More” to read the rest of the post.
However, for my latest post on this blog (“Nanashi”), on the Homepage there are the first few lines all right, which break where I inserted the “More” tag, and the picture.
But what I’m missing is the “Read More” link. (“Lire la suite”, in French).I find it strange, as it appears on all other posts. I don’t believe I did anything different on this one.
I’ve tried deleting and re-adding the “More” tag, no results.I’m using the “Forever” theme.
Any ideas on why the “Read More” link doesn’t display?

Did you check to make sure “the more tag” has not been inserted into a blockquoted section of the post? -

Many thanks for taking the time to answer. And you’re right on the money!
I didn’t know there was an issue with More tag vs. blockquotes. Also, it wasn’t really a blockquoted section, just text between quotation marks, in “paragraph” format. And the More tag wasn’t inside the quoted text, but right after it.
However, quotation marks there were. So, I put the More tag a bit further down the text, clear of quotes. And it did the trick!
