"Read more" Not Working?

  So I’ve been tinkering with this wordpress theme, and I am wondering how I can add a “read more” text when I use the <!– more –> tags.

  The theme currently hides the post at the <!– more –> tag, but doesn’t display any sort of a “read more” text link.

  I know I have to add “<?php the_content(‘Read more…’); ?>” somewhere, but no luck.

  Any input is greatly appreciated!
