Read more option for posts

    Hi, my name is Lainey and I recently created a blog through WordPress. I added an additional page to my blog in order to house writings that I will be doing for a school class. Although on the first page I was able to include a ‘read more’ option on my page, on this additional page I have added it, yet, it does not seem to be working as the entire post is being displayed. I would just like to fix this in order to keep entire posts from showing on the intial page and taking up so much room. Thank you for your time and help.
