  How can I add a read more button in my post and link to another website?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Do you mean that you want the “read more” to link to another website? As in, the “more” wouldn’t exist on your WordPress.com site?

  Yes, like give an excerpt of an article and head the reader to the original piece to some other website. Is that possible?

  Is it possible? Yes. Is there an automated tool? No, I’m afraid not.

  You’ll need to copy/paste the amount of text that you want, then manually set up a “to read the rest, click here” link to wherever the source material is.

  Our “more” tag just sends the user to the full post on your WordPress.com blog:
