Read more tag

Hi, I’m trying to insert a ‘More Block’ in the new block editor. Despite the fact that the WordPress instructions say it’s still available, when I search for it in the list of blocks, nothing comes up. Do you know how I get one?
I’ve been away from WordPress for a while and just started a new blog and I’m furious that they introduced this new block editor, it’s nowhere near as good as the old one.

It should definitely be there: https://en.support.wordpress.com/wordpress-editor/blocks/more-block/
What is the URL of the site you’re having trouble with, and the name of the post or page you’re trying to add it to?

Thanks for replying. It’s not there. I click ‘Add Block’ and type in ‘More’ and ‘Read More’ to the box and nothing comes up. Post is here: https://underpeacock.wordpress.com/2020/02/28/greta/.

Hmm, I have More under Layout Elements and I also see it when I type more.
Do you have any blocks showing when you go to specify block type, or are they all blank? And if you do see some, if you scroll to Layout to you have that option?

I have rows of blocks appearing under ‘Most used’, ‘Common blocks’, ‘Formatting’, ‘Layout blocks’ etc but not ‘More’. Is there a way to attach a screenshot so I can show you?
-
I definitely see “More” (and more stuff) when clicking the arrow to expand “Layout elements”.
If it’s definitely still missing for you then add a screenshot into your Media Library and @supernovia or another member of staff can investigate further. -
Apologies for the delay in getting back to you. I’ve added the screenshots showing there is no Read More block to my Media Library. Please can you look at them?

When I try typing in ‘More’ it doesn’t appear. I’ve added a screenshot. I’ve tried all the obvious things. I know how to use WordPress and I’ve set up WordPress blogs successfully in the past. It’s just the new editor clearly has a problem. Please can you fix it?

Interesting, here’s what I’m seeing when I try to add it under that post: https://d.pr/i/QM6czP
