"Read more" works in preview, but not on actual website

Hello there, I have the following problem: I’m using the theme Dara and have a static homepage where my most recent posts are published as excerpts. In the preview/page editing view, this works totally fine, it displays the first few words and then a “Read more” hyperlink. However, on the actual website, it still displays the html code. Example:
“Hello world! It’s time for my first Pokemon post!In a recent poll on twitter my followers have voted for my next “special” project to be Chikorita! I haven’t made any html adjustments myself and just used the basic theme and page options and I’m really confused by this. What am I doing wrong? Any help is appreciated

  • Hi @xrinachan, this is a bug with the Latest Posts Block. We’re aware of it, and a fix will be deployed very soon, but you could also switch it out for one of the other options.

To do that, go to the part of your page where the posts show up currently. Click on that block, click the three dots, and trash it.

Then, you can either use the blog posts block or the query loop.

The Blog Posts Block is fairly simple; you can choose from a few options, filter posts if you’d like, and choose how to display your featured images. Just be sure to toggle “Keep Reading” and decide the length of your previews:

The Query Loop is more advanced, but that gives you many more options, too. We have a tutorial here:
