  If you have not turned off the text rich editor on your profile page then you want icon 13 to insert a “red more” tag into the text http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/05/15/what-do-all-the-icons-mean/
  If you have turned it off and are using the ordinary editor then you click the “more” button where you want the tag inserted.
  The manual method is to type <!–more–>
