Reader access for blogs I follow is blocked by TrendMicro Security.

  Virus software is blocking access to Reader for blogs followed. This is a recent issue. I have the option to bypass the block and allow access, but first would like to know what your “Reader” function is harboring to trigger it. On that note, accessing the blogs I follow through a separate option via Reader on WordPress site is a pain to use. As a result, I don’t use it much through wordpress, opting to follow through Hootsuite. Ideas?

  Hi there!

  The WordPress.com Reader uses JavaScript/jQuery to load and refresh display posts. It’s possible that an update to the software is blocking these scripts from running on the site.

  I’m not familiar with this software, but most anti-virus/malware software will allow you to whitelist a domain or site to bypass the block.
