Reader: almost a year with Lists in bug
-
In June of 2020, I noticed that along with the remodeling of the icons in the Reader sidebar, the manage button in the lists had disappeared:

This occurred in a context where the creation of new lists was not being allowed (which, frankly, I do not understand).
I was assured that this was temporary and that this problem would be resolved:

Two months later, in August, I found a way to edit the lists:

However, this method is no longer working.
I asked again in December:

Because of this problem, although I really like the style of Reader and how it facilitates interaction between sites, I started to use other reading services, such as Old Reader.
The last update, which arrived at Reader today, brought changes, for example, in Tags, with a new way to stop following them, but the Lists remain impossible to be edited or deleted.

I’m sorry, we haven’t forgotten this, but it is still on the todo list for the Reader, amongst other items: https://github.com/Automattic/wp-calypso/projects/97

This problem was resolved today. I thank Matt Mullenweg and Dave Martin for getting to the bottom of the issue and making the feature available to everyone again.

But there is a bug: I was able to create a new list, but I couldn’t add a website to it, nor to one of the old ones.
I think it is a problem with “enter a URL to follow”.If I search for a website and find it, I can follow it; but if I put the URL of that site, even if it is hosted on WP.com, I can’t. For external sites, it becomes impossible.

Hi there,
I’m able to replicate what you described here, and have opened a bug report for it in https://github.com/Automattic/wp-calypso/issues/52444. You’re welcome to follow along there to see when this is fixed.
