Reader doesn't show enough information

Where and how do these consultations take place? I’ve been a paying WordPress customer for more than three years and never once been asked for my opinion on a proposed change.

As the originator of this thread, I want to say that recent revisions to Reader have answered my concerns: the name and icon of the poster are back on top and big enough to see, the word count has been restored with the estimated minutes in brackets, which works, and best of all, the new Visit and Like buttons are a snap to use. Much better. Well done.

A tradeoff was made in regards to working with feedback from blog owners who do not want their full content to show in the Reader. In order to see images from those blogs, you will now have to click through.
A “featured image” is an image carefully chosen by the blogger to represent the blog post and to draw interest to the post. It makes exactly zero sense to “trade off” FEATURED images – those who don’t want any images of their posts to show in the reader can simply stop using featured images. Absolutely no need to punish those who want to present their posts in an environment of their choice (in other words: their blog) and therefore using summaries, with a nice featured image as bait on the hook.

@fionamcquarrie, not every person is included in beta testing right now, but I would like to expand it. In time!
@timothygwyn, thank you!
