Reader following checked. How do they uncheck?

I do not know how to state the problem or what category it fits. Here’s the complaint I am getting many times over, written by the complainant:
“After I originally left a comment I appear to
have clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and from now on each time
a comment is added I recieve 4 emails with the exact same comment.
There has to be an easy method you are able to remove me from that service?
Thank you!”
How do I answer that problem of reader frustration?

You will not believe how easy this is to solve.
1. Have you tried clicking the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of the emails you receive?
2. Have you tried visiting the post you subscribed to receive comments from and clicking the checkbox to unsubscribe?

That being said this part is puzzling and shouldn’t be happening:
each time a comment is added I recieve 4 emails with the exact same comment.

Unsubscribing via the link in the email should solve the problem. If you re-subscribe, it won’t happen again.
