Reader, Fresh Pr, WP menu bar buttons work on PC but not on MacBook…why?

  I’ve sent to 2 prior emails regarding the WP Icon, Reader and Fresh Pressed buttons in the upper left menu bar. They don’t function when clicked nothing happens. When I click on Reader on WP all I see is a 0. This happens on my MacBook Pro. I’ve since discovered the problem doesn’t exist on the family PC. Why? When I originally started my blog on Feb. 14, 2014 all seemed okay. Please help I love my Mac…Thank you
