Reader Issues

    For the past couple of months, I have had numerous issues with my Reader. Currently, my Reader comes up blank, even though I follow several blogs. I also cannot access any of the topics/tags that I normally view on a regular basis. I’ve tried all of the different solutions listed throughout the help forums, ie. clearing my cache, cookies, turning off addons, etc. None of these help. I signed in with Google Chrome and found that I experienced no problems; however, I don’t normally use Chrome for browsing due to security concerns. This leads me to believe that this is a Firefox issue, but I have found no reference to what the problem actually is or how to fix it. At the time I began experiencing problems, I had made no new changes on my computer, browsing habits, or anything like that. The only difference I noticed was that WordPress had turned on the “snow” for the month of December. It was that day that I began experiencing problems and noticed also that my login homepage was different and my login info was no longer saved, even though I always sign in from the same link on my toolbar. Not sure if that’s relevant, but it was an odd coincidence. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    I currently use Mozilla Firefox 18.0.1, if that helps any.

    I use Firefox 18 and have none of the issues you site above.

    While waiting please address all of these troubleshooting measures I post below, so you won’t be wasting your time or theirs.

    If you are not running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com/ please try upgrading or switching first.

    Note: If you are using an IE9 browser in compatibility mode that makes it render as IE7 and IE7 is not supported. To disable see > http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1196-internet-explorer-compatibility-view-turn-off.html

    If you are running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com please do these four things:

    1. Try clearing your browser’s cache:

    http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050

    2. Make sure that you have third-party cookies enabled: http://en.support.wordpress.com/third-party-cookies/

    3. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.

    4. Try enabling HTTPS: http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/

    If it’s still happening post any error reports you get.

    The list you posted above is the what I was referring to when I stated, “I’ve tried all of the different solutions listed throughout the help forums, ie. clearing my cache, cookies, turning off addons, etc.” I tried each and every step once again. None of those help. The page is still blank except there is now a spinning wheel in the middle.
