Reader not showing the latest post

  Hi,

  I have had no complaints regarding publishing posts on my site using WP for the last two years. The last two instances, ​however, the Reader has not been updating the new posts for some reason. A lot of readers on my blog have complained about not being able to see the latest post on the Reader in the mobile app as well as the browser​ window.

  My last post on Aug 23 didn’t​ update on the Reader. However,​ it showed up after I posted a new one​​ yesterday, Sept 13th. But the new one is not visible or updating on the Reader again.

  Wondering if you could help me sort out this issue.

  Hi there,

  Hmm…I’m not seeing your posts in my Reader either. This tends to be due to using over 15 tags/categories, but you don’t appear to be doing so. You can view other common reasons why this occurs here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/topics/#missing-posts

  That being said, I’ve tagged WordPress.com staff to confirm why this is occurring. You’ll likely receive a response within a few hours.

  Hi @soniyak, I took a look and may have spotted the issue, but I’ll need help from our developers to fix it. I’ve reached out to them, but since we’re in a weekend it may be a bit before we hear back.

  I’ll let you know what we find.

  Thanks for getting in touch. It looks like the team in charge of Reader made some changes. Are you still experiencing the issue?

  @soniyak, I have checked your site on the reader, and I see all recent posts. Which post are you not seeing, and where are you looking? Can you send a link?

  Where are you looking for the post? For example, searching for it by name or using one of the tags.

  Hi,

  There are a couple of other blogs that I am following along with mine. Usually, whenever there is a new post on any of those blogs, it shows up on my Reader window. So I can see all my posts along with their new ones.

  If I type this link https://wordpress.com on the browser, the Reader loads up without my last post. It shows every other post of the blogs that I follow and my previous ones as well. Just the last one isn’t showing for some reason and a lot of my readers had no idea I had posted a new one until they manually looked up for posts only from my blog through the link you’ve mentioned above.

  That is odd. Would you be willing to try going to Manage, then unfollow your site, then refresh, then re-follow again? If that does not work, let us know and we’ll have our developers take another look.
