Reader only loading most recent half dozen posts of Blogs I Follow

I’m using Firefox. I’ve tried clearing the cache and history in case that’s clogging up. Any suggestions? I know I should be seeing a lot more posts there than six!
    Thanks.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There are only 6 displaying for me as well. There are more displaying here http://wordpress.com/#!/read/edit/ but they have my comments on them due to the latest chnage Staff have made > https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/the-new-comments-i-made-feature-is-horrible?replies=35

Ah. Ok – thanks Timethief. It seems to have resolved itself for now, so fingers crossed, but at least I know it’s not just me! :)

  • Unknown's avatar

I still get only 6 posts.

  • Unknown's avatar

so do I, I have started to check on my favorite sites one by one from the edit-list :-(

  • Unknown's avatar

There’s no way I have the time required to do that.

  • The Reader seems to be working fine now. 6 posts is about where the infinite scroll kicks in, it’s possible that was failing for a short time.

    Are you still having trouble?

  • Unknown's avatar

I don’t know about the others on this thread but my “infinite scroll” is not kicking in after the 6th post in my reader either. Hopefully WordPress can fix this problem! It’s been happening to me on and off for the past few weeks.

Mine seems to be working ok most of the time, with the occasional blip… I’ll keep an eye on it.

  • First, please make sure that your browser is up to date by visiting http://whatbrowser.org/

If it is not, please try updating your browser or switching to a different browser.

If it is, please do these four things:

    1. Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies: http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/

    2. Make sure that you have third-party cookies enabled: http://en.support.wordpress.com/third-party-cookies/

    3. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.

    4. Try enabling HTTPS: http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/

Please let us know how each step goes for you, and which browser (and version of) you’re using if you’re still having trouble.

Same problem here, in Firefox as well as in Chrome

Why is it that you support guys always assume when something goes wrong after WordPress has changed something that the fault lies with us users, especially when the same problem occurs with manny different users and with different browsers? Do you really believe that we have absolutely the same settings for our respective browsers? The logical assumption in a case like this is a programming error on the WordPress side.
I don’t know, of course, what you changed this time, but – from my admittedly limited knowledge – I believe that not all the changes are always necessary. My advice: if it ain’t broken, don’t fix it.
Sorry for my harsh words, but the problems with WordPress seem to become more and more lately.

  • Why is it that you support guys always assume when something goes wrong after WordPress has changed something that the fault lies with us users, especially when the same problem occurs with manny different users and with different browsers?

Because, in this case it works just fine for myself, my wife, and the few co-workers that I checked with. We also have no recent changes affecting the Reader. I assure you, we never automatically assume anything. We test the issue, look for recent changes, and pursue the correct course of action.

The fact that we made no recent changes and that it works just fine for the people that I checked with leads me to believe that the problem could be related to something on your end.

That’s where browser troubleshooting comes into play. Let’s try a few things to see if the issue could in fact be related to something on your end. Maybe it is, maybe it isn’t, but we won’t know until you try.

Without tests to eliminate possible causes, we’re just throwing darts in the wind with no target, and this will never be fixed.

So, please feel free to try all of the steps listed in my earlier reply, and let me know how they go. If you don’t want to, that’s ok, I’m sure someone else will.

Thanks for your extensive reply. I really appreciate you guys working for us. So, you’ve made no recent changes to the reader, and I’ve made noi recnet changes to my browsers. hmmmmm – must be goblins at work, especially since, without me doing eanything, the reader is working fine again.
Maybe I should simply have waited before complaining. I’ll try to bear in mind that sometimes kinks work themselves out.
Again: thank you for your work you do for us usewrs,
    Pit

Well the goblins are at work over here in Australia as well. I am having this problem in both fire-fox and internet explorer. Only six posts are showing up in my reader, the same six for hours now. I have tried three computers and my ipad. Something has definitely gone amiss.
