Reader Post Cards always in Photo mode

  Hi all,

  My blog (www.rondaller.cat) is not showing the Post Cards in the Reader in Standard mode. Only in Photo mode: https://i.imgur.com/Vk2bB8i.png

  How can I show them in Standard mode?

  Hi, I can’t see the back end for that site, but are you ensuring you’ve set a featured image for each post?

  Yes, we have a featured image for each post. However, we don’t show it in the same post (we did a display:none), because we already include it in the post itself.

  In any case, now I see that the lasts posts are displayed properly: https://wordpress.com/read/feeds/101320293 What’s the difference between the last ones and the ones displayed in Photo mode? How can I make all of them to appear in Standard mode?

  Hi there,

  What cards the Reader uses to display your posts depends on the content of the post:

  https://wordpress.com/support/reader/#reader-post-cards

  I’m not sure why, for example, https://www.rondaller.cat/2020/03/23/alp-a-la-baixa-cerdanya/ is using the Photo card, as based on the content it should be using the gallery card. This is something the Reader does automatically, though, and there is no way to control it directly.
