Reader reports pop up follow button covering blog post almost entirely

Hi folks, I’m hoping you can help. I’ve been on WordPress.com since 2009 and have never heard this before. A long-time reader and regular commenter recently reported that pop-ups were appearing on my blog. I have never seen any on my blog or on any other WordPress.com blog that I read, so I asked her to elaborate. Here is her response (I’m quoting):

“The pop up follow button/enter email address is really tough. It’s wanting me to enter an email address and covering up the page. :/ It also doesn’t have anyway to let me get rid of it. (Not crazy abou this WordPress.) It’s really hard to read your blog with it in there, as I only have a little netbook and it pretty much means that half of what you’re writing is sort of a mystery, because the pop up is so big. Is there anyway to do that without it being a popup?”

That’s her quote. I have never, nor would I ever, create any sort of pop up. I have a widget on my sidebar that allows people to follow me by email, and another sidebar widget that allows people to follow me by RSS. That’s it. I am truly mystified that this is happening, since I did not create it, do not see it, and cannot imagine it. I’m especially troubled that she apparently cannot delete it.

This commenter a person who creates websites just for fun, so she’s not just a random commenter who doesn’t know much about blogging.

    Help? And thanks!
