Readers can't comment and older comments are not showing

  Hi! I’m new here and still finding my way around. One of my blog’s readers said that she can’t access the comments to this post: http://thebackgroundstory.com/2011/11/04/vol-1-ch-2-p-5/#comments. She clicks on the ‘comments’ link and nothing shows up. I checked and the same thing happens to me. I can see the comments in my dashboard but I can’t see them on the page. How can i make them appear again? How can I enable commenting again? Thank you!

  Oh it turns out that I have the same problem for the NINE other entries. Other entries show comments just fine. Please help. :(

  Go to Settings>Discussion, uncheck the option “Automatically close comments on articles older than [n] days”, scroll down and click Save Changes.

  Check your posts again after doing the above. If some posts aren’t corrected, then you have also disabled commenting on those posts. In that case go to Posts > All Posts, hover under the post title, click Quick Edit, check the options “Allow Comments” and “Allow Pings”, click Update.
