Readers having trouble commenting on/liking blog posts
-
I mapped my domain to the new tdylf.com earlier this week and now several of my readers can’t leave comments or select the “Like” button. It appears to be happening across several browsers, too- one was using Firefox, one was on Explorer, and another was on Google Chrome.
-The Firefox user is a WP member. When he visits, his header bar (My Accounts, My Blogs, etc…) disappears. When he clicks on the “Like” button, it prompts him to log in. But it won’t accept his username and password for whatever reason. Also, apparently he’s now being asked to leave a name/e-mail to comment (which he wasn’t being asked to do before).
-The Chrome user said that she got (quoting her) “some error message about the supported network causing the error”.
-The Explorer user gets an error message prompting him to fill in all the required fields, but the name/e-mail fields don’t show up for him.
Even more mysterious is that other people are managing to comment. So not all people are having these issues. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Since the wordpress upgrade when we are wordpress.com users are using an outmoded browser we get a notice on our dashboards prompting us to upgrade our browsers.
http://browsehappy.com I would ask the people having problems to upgrade their browsers and see if that works. If it doesn’t then they need to contact Staff.

I am also having a problem with people being able to comment on my blog. Some people are getting a “you’re not registered” error message, even though they are registered.

The first person who alerted me to this was using Firefox, and had a similar experience to the person larue2121 described above.
