Readers having trouble posting comments
-
Hi this is a recurring problem that I am hearing from different readers of my posts. They say that they have posted comments before and have had no problems but now some of them are asked to have passwords along with their emails. These readers get confused and ask me as if they need to have a password for WordPress which they don’t want to do. This is has happened with different readers who are very frustrated with WordPress. I have reported this problem earlier also and I am told that the readers should contact WordPress if the problem continues. And that WordPress can’t find any issue That is clearly not true as it happening repeatedly with different readers also it is not appropriate to ask readers to contact WordPress. They are readers and want to post their comments and leave and not have to deal with contacting WordPress etc. Please address this issue as soon as you can as this is a big deterrence to my blog on your platform. My blog is rbksrealm.wordpress. com Thanks

Hi there!
I don’t see the post you mentioned where we suggested that the readers reach out to us, do you have a link to that one?
To be sure I understand what you mean, your readers have contacted you because they are asked to create an account when attempting to leave a comment on your blog?Let me assure you that nobody needs to log into their account to comment if they don’t want to. Your settings allow everyone to comment and they can choose which information they leave:
You can test this accessing your site from an incognito browser tab, where you’re not logged in.
That said, we have no way of knowing what exactly do the readers that have issues do on your site and we’d need to know more details from them, to be able to advise anything.
