Readers not able to leave comments

My sister (who doesn’t have and has never had a blog) is unable to leave comments on my blog. The word “comment” remains in the space provided; if she clicks a second time, everything turns blue, but she’s not able to post a comment. Any suggestions?
I had this problem last week with a couple of WP blogs, but it cleared up within a day or two.

Without any details such as how this person in connecting to the internet and to WordPress.com and exactly which browser they are using, etc. I’m sorry but we cannot help.

Thanks. It’s just odd that she’s been commenting everyday since I began my blog 2 years ago, and just recently started having the same problem I had last week. Thanks anyway.

Here are troubleshooting techniques we use each and every time things don’t work for us:
(1) Using the secure https:// login?

Note: If you are using an IE9 browser in compatibility mode that makes it render as IE7 and IE7 is not supported. To disable see > http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1196-internet-explorer-compatibility-view-turn-off.html
a. clearing your browser cache and cookies > http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050
b. Using the browser with all extensions or add-ons disabled
c. updating the browser to the latest stable version http://browsehappy.com/
d. Confirming third party cookies is enabled on the browser http://support.google.com/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=61416
e. Confirming JavaScript is enabled http://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=12654
f. Confirming Flash is updated http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ and if required installing the latest version of Flash http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/
g. Resetting your router and modem and rebooting your computer
then logging in using the secure https:// log-inh. Trying another browser

I’m sorry but there is no quick fix for issue like this. In order to locate the cause we need the details re: the computing environment the person with problems has. Then we need to duplicate the issue. When we can replicate what’s happening to them we can determine the cause and suggest solutions.
