Readers not getting email posts

I’m having a recurring issue with my blog site. Have had friends who are readers reach out over a period of the last few months asking if I stopped writing. They subscribed and got emails of my posts for a long time and then they stopped even tho I continued to post. My stats fell off recently.

Can you let us know the URL of the site where you’re having this problem? Also, please provide us with a few email addresses of your subscribers that didn’t receive those emails and we can look into this for you. If you write them here like normal email addresses, only Staff will see them.
Once we have that information, we’ll be better able to advise.

Two of my friends who reported over the last six months that they were no longer getting my blog crowsfeetchronicles are (email visible only to moderators and staff) and (email visible only to moderators and staff). Both resubscribed and are now receiving email when I post. I have no idea who else may have been dropped.
Please let me know what you find. I have a small readership, but value it. Thanks!

Our logs show that those two started following your blog six months ago. If they weren’t receiving any updates, then their email provider might’ve blocked those emails. If this happens again, I recommend telling them to reach out to their email provider and see if they’re blocking emails from WordPress.com.

These two examples started following the blog more than 6 months ago. One resubscribed about six months ago; the other just yesterday. There were other readers who also stopped receiving the emails but were not comfortable with me sharing their email addresses with you. Their providers were not blocking the email previously. Strange that this would happen just in the last 6 months after having my blog for six years.

Is there a common denominator with these addresses? For example are they of the same provider?

Unfortunately, I can’t identify a common denominator. The two samples that I provided for you had the same provider, but others were different.

Are there other subscribers affected at the moment? If there are, then please share their email addresses here, and we can have a look.
Please note that the email addresses will be hidden and only visible to other staff members and me.

I was notified earlier this week by (email visible only to moderators and staff) but I know that she was trying to resubscribe.

I can’t see that this individual is subscribed to your blog. When they resubscribe are they facing any issues at all – for instance are there any error messages they’re seeing?
This is frustrating. It’s a little like asking, “Raise your hand if you aren’t here.” I have no way of knowing who may have been dropped.
I totally understand. Subscriber issues can be quite tedious mainly because there’s actions that need to be taken to unsubscribe – so we appreciate the patience there.
