Readers struggling to leave comments

Longtime readers have recently begun telling me that they’re finding it more difficult to leave comments. They’re not themselves bloggers, so this probably only applies to people not signed up with WP. Is there some way I can simplify the process? Failing that, can someone give WP a kick in the butt and get them to?

I raised this on a previous thread (below). It seems like the answer is “the is the new way of doing things, get used to it”, which really isn’t very helpful.

There is now an option to turn off blocks, for user comments. @justjennifer posted it on another thread – https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/comment-form-block-editor/#post-4037360
If you go to the WordPress site editor, it’s in Settings > Discussion.

I am jealous that the OP actually GETS comments. Using the Block editor to post a comment seems just as easy as the old way.
