Reading foreign posts without automatic translation

Hello,
I would like to read posts in several languages without automatic translation. Yet I seem to be locked to English. Is it possible to just enter a foreign search term and get matching articles as is, in their original languages?

Hi there,
Are you speaking of searching in the Reader? That search will return results based on your account language settings. We don’t currently have a way to search for content in multiple languages at once, but I can pass that suggestion along to our developers.

Hi, yes, it is exactly what I mean. I tried entering “nähen” to search for German sewing-related posts, but only found some half-English half-German ones, and when I googled for help, it looked like what I got was automatically translated content. I absolutely do NOT want that because I speak German and want to read the posts in original. May be the ones I found were not automatically translated, I don’t know for sure, but here is what I need: 1) to disable any form of automatic translation, thank you; 2) to be able to search in blogs of all languages at once, or to be able to select a language for search.
If you could pass that on, that would be great – thanks! :-)
In the meantime, can you suggest a work-around for reading blogs in different languages? Other than creating several accounts with different locale settings, that is?
I’m using the Android reader on my BlackBerry Passport, but I would also be happy to use the web interface, it works just as well in the browser.

1) to disable any form of automatic translation
WordPress.com does not offer automatic translation, so any translated content you might find was posted that way by the authors/site owners. We have no way to prevent a site owner from pasting machine-translated text into their site and publishing it.
2) to be able to search in blogs of all languages at once, or to be able to select a language for search
As I said above, that is not possible the way Reader Search is designed. I can file a feature request so our developers can look at the possibility of adding such a feature, but I can’t tell you if or when that will happen.
The only workaround I can suggest is to use a search engine like Google to search for new sites instead, as the Reader cannot do what you want it to do at this point.
