  The background of my text in our blogs is transparent. I want a solid background so I can actually read the words.

  roadtripfromzell.com is using the WordPress installation rather than WordPress.com.

  These 2 versions of WordPress are different: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  Help for this site is going to come via https://wordpress.org/support/

  I can see that the domain is connected to BlueHost as well.
