Reading Settings are NOT displaying correctly: s/b Summary not Full Text

  Even though my READING Settings are set to “For each article in a feed, show SUMMARY, the entire articles, Full Text, are displayed, which makes the blog very hard to read.
  The problem is very recent – the Summary used work well.

  How can it be corrected?

  The summary setting is only for your feed, not for your blog. To truncate blog posts, you either need to choose a theme that does that, like Hemingway, or you need to use the More tag.

  I am talking about Summary in Feeds – they are displaying as Full Text.

  I also noticed that Archives are displaying as Full Text — they used to be Summaries with Titles only.

  What is going on???

  I see what you did … you added “Read Full Post” at the very end of the articles.

  There is a saying: “If it’s not broken, don’t fix it”
  I like much more the old true Summaries – it showed titles only and it was well organized. It was easy to find everything. It was perfect.

  I wish I could have the old Summaries back :-(

  Please realize that both raincoaster and I are volunteers and fellow bloggers answering questions in these forums. “We” did not do anything.

  Your blog itself is showing full posts. If you want to truncate them, then use the more tag as raincoaster suggested.

  MistyLook is not a theme which shows custom excerpts—my apologies for suggesting that option.

  Have you recently changed your theme?

  I use MistyLook with my own header :-)

  I decided to use “more tag” for excerpts – it might work just fine, although I liked the old Summaries as well.
