Real-time Notifications

    I’m wondering if there’s a good way to include real-time notifications on my site?

    I’m hoping to create a notification system so that subscribers can receive an in-site notification when they get a reply or like to their comment.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

    That is already built into WordPress.com. If someone comments on your site while logged into a WordPress.com account, they will receive a notification in the WordPress.com admin bar (and the WordPress mobile app if they’re using it), of any replies or likes on that comment. And both people with and without WordPress.com accounts can subscribe to be notified by email of new comments on a specific post.

    However, note that subscriptions and notifications are in the control of the commenters themselves. You as site owner do not have control over this, and you cannot force notifications to go out to people who don’t want to receive them.
