Really confused

I sent in a request and was told that I do not have WordPress.com but I do have software from WordPress.org. But why am I able to login to https://wordpress.com/help/contact as username = pastorandrewscm?
I have a website somalichristians.org that runs on WPENGINE.
I am creating a new website scmministrynew.wpengine.com but our tech guy quit and I am the executive director of Somali Christian Ministries trying to figure out what is going on.
Can you set me straight?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi pastorandrewscm,
was told that I do not have WordPress.com but I do have software from WordPress.org.
That’s correct. somalichristians.org uses WordPress.org software (not WordPress.com) and is hosted elsewhere. However, the Jetpack plugin you are using creates a connection between this site and your WordPress.com account — meaning it can be managed through the account you have with us.
Without Jetpack, you would only be able to manage the site by logging in to it directly from https://somalichristians.org/wp-admin/.
But why am I able to login to https://wordpress.com/help/contact as username = pastorandrewscm?
This is the username of your WordPress.com account, which you are using to post on these forums.

scmministrynew.wpengine.com also uses WordPress.org software. The WordPress.org support forums will be the best place to post if you need advice about making changes to the site:
https://wordpress.org/support/forums
At the moment, this site has no connection to WordPress.com because the Jetpack plugin is not installed.
Come back to me if anything is unclear :)

Ok, thank you. I am getting out of the weeds but there is still an eel wrapped around my face.
Ok, so, I just found out I think that my Jetpack login @ wordpress.com/wp-admin
is the same login information as for my WordPress.com support login @ en.forums.worpress.com
Is that correct? And is so, why does the Jetpack login use WordPress.com if I am using WordPress.org?
Thank you,

Hi Andrew,

Yes, that’s correct. Jetpack is connecting your WordPress.org site to WordPress.com.
And is so, why does the Jetpack login use WordPress.com if I am using WordPress.org?
Jetpack is a plugin with many features. Some of those features require a connection to WordPress.com for them to work. An example of that is the Stats. You wouldn’t be able to view your site’s stats if you haven’t connected your site to WordPress.com (through Jetpack).
