You can add the Read More by clicking the add block button, search “more”, and click the “More” option that appears

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately the feature does not work whit these theme, neither with few other themes I tried…. I suspect I have to upgrade form Personal to Premium Plan, am I right?

Since adding a Read More is not dependent on the theme you are using, I wonder if you are using the Classic Editor instead of the newer block editor? They look different so the previous steps won’t work.

I’m sorry I forgot to mention this but, no you don’t need a site upgrade to add a Read More to your posts.

I tried many times with both editors and with several themes and in different browsers … It just does not work for me :) .

I might be doing something totally wrong, but the feature seems quite simple… I wonder what possibly I could do so wrong so many times :)

BTW, currently I am trying Bascerville 2 and a button “Continue Reading ” appears automatically, but not where I want it, but where it is by default..

Thanks for the update on the current theme you’re using. I did try testing the read more in the Baskerville 2 theme but for me it seems to work the same as the other themes.
Since the “Continue Reading” did appear after using a different theme, I just want to confirm that the “Read More” button wasn’t showing up after you had saved your edited post?
If that’s the case then it’s possible the edits were slow to take effect.

I appreciate your time and help. But I am giving up. It just does not work.
I follow the instructions precisely step by step, and – yes, I save the edited post.
I wait a while to allow time for the changes to take effect and even refresh several times – nothing…In the current theme Baskerville 2 the “Continue reading” button appears automatically, it is not where I want it , but I suppose I have to live with this.

Hi, just an update. The issue has been solved. In Content Options I had to disable the Post excerpt and enable Full post, and than cut the text whenever I wish with the Read More block.
