Reblog Button Not Working

Hi! The reblog button has not worked for about two months now; when I want to share a post, I use the ‘press this’ widget, but that doesn’t create the pingback link for the original poster. Can you help with this? Thanks.

Hi there, it sounds like we’ve got a few different issues:

What’s happening when you try to use it? Also can you clarify whether you’re reblogging through the reader, or from a specific site? Can you send a URL?
but that doesn’t create the pingback link for the original poster.
Can you share more abut that? Site owners can have pingbacks disabled, or they can delete a pingback that comes through. Is a particular site owner saying they aren’t getting the pingback? And if so can they join the thread with more info?

What’s happening when I try to use the reblog button? Nothing. It literally does not open the window to make the reblog. I am logged in and going through the reader. I can use the “Press This” widget, but not the reblog button.
Because the reblog is not happening, there are no other site owners to ask about the pingback link. I hope this clarifies.

Ok, first please make sure that your browser is up to date: https://browsehappy.com/
If it is not, please try updating your browser or switching to a different browser.
If it is, please do these two things:
1. Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies.
2. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.
Please let us know how each step goes for you, and which browser (and version of) you’re using if you’re still having trouble.

Okay. Cleared the cache and cookies, which didn’t work.
However, Firefox had an update to 67.0 that hadn’t been applied yet, and now the button works. Thank you.
