I have posted about this before but never got a solution…

I am not receiving any form of notification when someone reblogs my post. Even when I click on ‘View Archive’ for notifications, they reblog tab says “No notifications. Time to go bowling.”

I don’t want an email notification, just the little orange symbol like with everything else! At present, I don’t get any comments to approve or any notifications of the reblog.

eg. This post has been reblogged: http://morethangreens.wordpress.com/2012/09/10/saf-vegan-restaurant/

It does say so at the bottom of the post but it’s an old post and I only know it got reblogged because I follow the blog that did it and it came up in my reader. I know they previously reblogged another of my posts but again, only found out by chance.

I have checked all my settings and can’t seem to find a solution!

Do you have pingbacks enabled? If you disable them, you might not get notification.

I’m pretty sure I do as I linked back to an old post of my own recently and got a pingback notification to approve.

Okay, found where I check that and yes, I have pingbacks enabled:

“Allow link notifications from other blogs (pingbacks and trackbacks)”

However, I can’t find anything about reblogs.

Reblogs appear in your comment section. To receive an e-mail notification you’ll need to enable the ‘Someone reblogs one of my posts’ option in your Discussion Settings.

Thanks for your response!

I can see the reblogs from the link you posted but shouldn’t I be getting an orange icon notification on my dropdown and shouldn’t these show in my archive? At present, reblog comments aren’t showing in my archive under comments nor reblogs (which seems like where they should be…)

The only way I would know that someone reblogged my post would be to go to the comments section on my dashboard, which I never do as I get notifications on the dropdown for all other comments. If I want to see a full list, I go to my notifications archive.

I’m not sure if this is how it’s meant to function as it seems a bit silly that 1. I don’t get an actual notification and 2. Nothing shows under ‘reblogs’ in my archive.

NB: I don’t want email notifications, just the orange icon ones I get for everything else.

The issue has been resolved. The reblogs will now appear on your notifications/archive page.
