Reblogged a post I wrote for my old job but it isn't showing up

    I have a personal blog that I use to show my work. Pretty much run it just so employers can see what I am capable of. I reblogged this post from my old job but it isn’t showing up on my personal blog that I run now.

    So, I can’t delete the post and try again, because it isn’t showing up on my “blog post” management tab but it also can’t be “reblogged” because the website says I already did that. Is there a workaround? Anything I can do?

    Howdy –

    The link for that blog post can be added to your current site. Perhaps you could write a few sentences and then include a link to the entire post that failed to reblog?

    Can you share more details about your setup with me? I’d like to try and take a deeper look at what could’ve gone wrong.

    1. working through app or browser
    2. type and version number
    3. any extensions in use?
    4. operating system type and version

    I’m a little confused. You say that the blog post can be added to my site and are asking for me to include a link to the entire post that failed to reblog? That’s this post right here: https://ktswblog.net/2018/02/19/how-safe-is-your-private-data/

    1. Both browser & mobile app claim that it is reblogged, when it in fact, is not.
    2. Type and version number; are you referring to the app itself or the browser that I am using? Chrome 69.0.3497.100 and Firefox 62.0
    3. No extensions that I am aware of.
    4. I’m running Windows 10 version 1803

    Our logs show you deleted the reblogged post from your blog on 28 February. That post has long since been removed from the Trash folder, and cannot be restored any more.

    You won’t be able to reblog the post a second time, so you’ll need to share it manually as Liz explained above.

    Yes. Copy the link of the post you want to share, create a new post on your blog, and paste the link there, exactly like you pasted it here in the forums, and exactly like you’d link to any other website in a new post. The Reblog button is not the only way to share a post from another WordPress.com site.

    Damn. Okay, that clears up that part.

    Copy the link of the post you want to share, create a new post on your blog, and paste the link there, exactly like you pasted it here in the forums, and exactly like you’d link to any other website in a new post. The Reblog button is not the only way to share a post from another WordPress.com site.

    I had no idea that it worked that way. Thank you for the clarification.

    You bet. We just recommend writing a few sentences about the post, as well. Otherwise it would just include a link to the post.
