Reblogged post of my site
-
Right. I reported the site in question as spam. Presumably WordPress.com will take it from there. I did a quick count, they reblogged 7 posts (after which I stopped counting) today already. So that’s done. I went to sharing and took the reblog button away. Visited both timethief’s and ifmomsaysok’s suggested links. Very interesting stuff. Now that I know that little bit more about reblogs, I wouldn’t mind so much as long as the site that’s doing the reblogging is inoffensive. The line isn’t always clear. Thank you both very much for the help. Going private is going to cost a bit of money. I’ve had problems paying American companies before from South Africa. I haven’t investigated going premium as yet. Does WordPress accept electronic payments from South Africa?

Going private is going to cost a bit of money.
No that is free of charge. See here > To change blog visibility to Private go to Dashboard > Settings > Reading scroll to Blog Visibility and choose option 3 . http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
There is no upgrade that will change the reblogging situation. All Public blogs being hosted by WordPress.com are subject to reblogging. If that’s why you are asking about premium upgrade then know that.

How would the private setting affect searches for my site? I partly use the blog to showcase my artworks.

Oh, I just went there and when set on private, search engines won’t list my site. Okay, I’ll keep things as they are then. Thanks!
