Reblogging Photos
-
Dear sir or madam,
WordPress recently created some protfolio themes as you know. So, I thought that would be great idea to create one for myself too. But the problem is, I simply don’t want my photos to be reblogged.
There have been none yet, but it just seems unlogical to me. Reblogging from blogs are somehow OK but, when it comes to portfolio, it’s a different story I think.
My site is: http://ceylansinan.com
You enter a gallery, click on a photo > and there it is. Below the photo, “reblog photo” link.
Is there a way? I did some search, and I know that disabling reblogging for normal posts is not possible right now, but what about the photos only?
And if there is no possible ways to disable it, would you please consider it?
Okay, viewers my wish to share galleries within their SNS profiles but reblogging is a different story.Best regards,
SinanThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Currently there is no way to prevent photos from being reblogged. Like posts, the only way to protect them is to make your entire site private. I’ve created a request to implement the functionality to disable photo reblogging for portfolio themed sites if a blogger so desires, however such requests are not always implemented. Requests are reviewed on a regular basis and those which are decided to be in keeping with the WordPress ethos are put on our roadmap for development.
