  I would like to create a new website and domain. Once it is live I want all of my traffic to be forwarded to the new site. Do I need to create another plan for the new site or can I add it to my existing plan with a new domain?

  WordPress.com upgrades only apply to a single site at a time.

  However, if you want to transfer your WordPress.com Premium upgrade to your new site, we can do that. Given that you have not used the domain registration credit that came with your WordPress.com Premium upgrade, That is what I would encourage you to do. you could have a new domain and a new site without paying any extra money.

  Well that answers another question I have about why I had to pay to renew my domain today!
  How do I go about using that credit? I haven’t seen an area on my dashboard that tells me how to do that. I would like to do that straight away.

  So, I’m still confused about if you want to switch the Premium upgrade to a complete new site, or if you are just trying to rename your current site with a different custom URL.
