  Hello,

  I am wanting to rebrand my blog. I’m trying to rename my domain name, have my old site redirected to this new one, and not lose my content or followers.

  How do I do this?

  Any help would be great!

  Hi!

  Currently, your site address is mytulletorial.wordpress.com with a custom domain of mytulletorial.com. Just to clarify, you would like to keep the same content and layout but have it available at a new site address and custom domain. Is that correct?

  If so, follow these steps:

  1. Change the site address mytulletorial.wordpress.com following the steps here:

     https://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/

     Important: If you want mytulletorial.wordpress.com to redirect to the new URL, do not delete that site address. You’ll want to leave the box unchecked in step #7.

     After this step is complete, we’ll have a new site address (newsiteaddress.wordpress.com) with the same content that was previously on mytulletorial.wordpress.com. The domain mytulletorial.com will be attached to this newsiteaddress.wordpress.com URL.

  2. Register the new domain that will replace mytulletorial.com following the steps here:

     http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/register-domain/

  3. Set the new domain as the primary domain on the account from this page:

     https://mytulletorial.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains

     At this point, we’ll have the following:

     – Your site at newsiteaddress.wordpress.com with all of your content

     – Two domains: mytulletorial.com and your new domain

     – The old domain (mytulletorial.com) will redirect to your new domain

  Can you give those steps a try and we can proceed from there? It sounds like a lot, but I’m here every step of the way!
