Rebuilding existing site using WordPress

  I already have a website and domain name with a different hosting company. I would like to rebuild my site using WordPress and migrate the domain name across, but don’t want to transfer the domain unless/until I’m sure it looks how I want it. Can I build the site first then cover the domain name issue afterwards?

  Yes, you can create a WordPress.com site before mapping the domain.

  You can check out the plans and its pricing on the below page and select any plan to get started:
  https://wordpress.com/pricing/

  And whenever you feel that your site ready, you can map your domain name to your new WordPress.com site.
