Rebuilding Help

  I am starting to rebuild my website, is there a way to have a note there that tell everyone that visited my site that it is under construction? or should I just make a page and leave a message like that?

  Also can i reset my stats for a fresh start?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Just make a static page with that message and set that to the front of the site. You cannnot reset your stats.

  You must be logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog. Then you can quickly remove your contents by deleting them in bulk.

  IMPORTANT NOTE: Deleting blog content and deleting blogs does not remove any indexed content from the SERPs (search engine page results). Google and Bing only clear their caches of deleted indexed content that produces a 404 (page not found) every 3 – 6 months.

  re: creating a static front page
  By default the front page of your blog displays all published posts (not pages) in reverse chronological order, with the most recently published post on top. However, if you do not want all the posts to show on the front page then you can create a static front page called for example “Welcome” for your site and a “Blog” page for posts. To do that create two pages first http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/

  After you do that you go to > Settings > Reading and make the designation change and click “save changes”.

  That says nothing about stats. The stats do not get reset.
