Rec'd Google message: Only amp-boilerplate … tags allowed"
-
I just received the following email from Google today regarding my WordPress website.
“Only amp-boilerplate and amp-custom ‘style’ tags are allowed, and only in the document head.”
I really have no clue what this is referring to or how to supposedly fix this. My site seems to have very little internet exposure even though I have been hosting it and writing regularly for over four years.
Any suggestions?

I should also mention that just yesterday, I found that I now cannot add new posts directly to my menus using the Blog Administrator page the way I have always been able to. Interesting that I get this message the day after I discover that issue.

Hello there,
Many thanks for reaching out.
“Only amp-boilerplate and amp-custom ‘style’ tags are allowed, and only in the document head.”
This is actually a new known issue we’re working on, it was only first reported 3 days ago and relates specifically to the cover block.
I’ve this report to the tally.
I found that I now cannot add new posts directly to my menus using the Blog Administrator page
This is unrelated to the above and sounds rather odd.
Can you detail what steps you’re taking so that we can take a closer look please.
Many thanks.

Hello folks, it looks like @rwkoehler1952 has a separate thread for the menu issue at https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/something-changed-not-able-to-add-a-new-post-to-an-existing-menu/
and relates specifically to the cover block
FWIW I am also getting this notice from Google on both my primary site and shutterclutter, neither of which have used the cover block. ?

Hey @justjennifer and @rwkoehler1952
Ok, let’s keep the menu issue with that thread for now. ( https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/something-changed-not-able-to-add-a-new-post-to-an-existing-menu/ )
FWIW I am also getting this notice from Google on both my primary site and shutterclutter, neither of which have used the cover block. ?
Interesting, there are also similar reports where a cover block isn’t added also.
It looks like the issue is still undergoing investigation and can be followed here: https://github.com/Automattic/wp-calypso/issues/51829 I’ve added an additional note explaining this is also happening without a cover block in use.

I received a similar message from Google, not sure how to resolve it.
