Receiving comments unrelated to my blog's subject

  I am receiving a lot of comments that seem to be addressing a subject and/or blog site that’s NOT mine. I think someone is somehow “piggy-backing” on my COMMENTS page. Is there a way to find out what’s going on and prevent it, short of disabling the COMMENTS functionality on my blog?

  Hi there!

  Can you link me to one of these comments? It sounds like you’re just getting some spam. We have seen an uptick in spam over all of WordPress.com. When you come across a spam comment, make sure you mark it as spam (don’t just delete it!).
