Receiving Emails requesting moderating

  I keep receiving emails that request I moderate a blog I’ve written. The email says there are over 500 comments currently awaiting approval (believable as I’ve received MANY). However when I click the link to spam the comment – which is clearly spam, they all are – it says I do not have sufficient permissions to access the page. I am a SMALL company. This is my page. Of course I have permission. I login and everything looks in order but I keep getting emails. I’m at 500+ dead ends. Please help!

  Yes, I am the admin and I’m signed in as the admin. I’ve moderated comments before but this is some sort of DDOS style onslaught I’ve gotten in the last 2 months. Unfortunately it’s not an indication of positive traffic to my site . . . :(

  @getcontinuity, I checked on the site hosted here with us, and I don’t see any recent comments.

  Are you using Akismet on a site hosted elsewhere?
