Receiving error saying, ‘Please check your primary sites Jetpack connection’

  I signed into my WordPress for the 1st time in years, wanting to create a new blog and I keep receiving an error that says, ‘Please check your primary sites Jetpack connection’. I tried deleting my expired and old website domain from being my website in my account settings and replaced it with wordpress.com, but I keep getting the same message. How can I create a new blog and WordPress forget my old one?

  Hi! You should be able to remove any extra sites like this:

  Jetpack

  But given that I just see one site on this account and it does indeed seem to be defunct, I was able to remove it for you.
