Receiving frequent emails advising my site has been updated

  I am receiving 1 to 3 emails each day advising me that
  “Your site has updated to WordPress 4.7.5”
  I am sure I did a manual update to 4.8 a week ago but I am still getting these emails. I have been receiving these emails for some time, at least a month or so. I’m not sure perhaps if my site has been hacked.

  Hi there,

  You are speaking of a self-hosted WordPress site, as we don’t use version numbers on WordPress.com. We cannot help with a self-hosted site on WordPress.com, so please contact your hosting provider instead. Those emails are likely coming from them.
