Receiving mails is not possible

    Dear WordPress community,

I need help regarding a technical issue we are facing:

We have registered a domain with wordpress.com

We are using a third party hosting company for webspace, mail boxes, etc. – here we also use a “WordPress package”. Our website is built with WordPress, but not directly hosted with WordPress.

I hope my description of the scenario above is understandable.

Now we have a major issue:

Using the mail functionality of our third party hoster causes problems – we cannot receive mails. (side note: sending mails is working)

I contacted our website hoster and they told us the following:

“As mentioned I’m sending you the neccesary update needed to get your e-mail traffic working.

Please add the follwing MX records into your current nameservers:

    xyz.com mx.mailprotect.be priority 10
    xyz.com mx.backup.mailprotect.be priority 50

If this is too technical, your current nameserver host will most likely know what to do:

    Name Server: NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
    Name Server: NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
    Name Server: NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

I have absolutely no clue where to perform these changes. Can this be done by someone from WordPress directly?

A quick response is highly appreciated, as we really need to make sure that mails can be received.

    Many thanks in advance,
    Stefan
