Receiving spam via contact form

I am receiving many spam messages everyday throughout each day via my contact form but they are not appearing in my feedback list. How do I stop this? Can I add a captcha to a free wordpress blog?

Thanks for your response, most kind. I had wanted to do that, expected it would be best option to deal with the problem, but unfortunately the messages aren’e appearing in the feeback section for me to mark as spam but are coming straight into my email inbox. Hence why i am unsure as to how to proceed to stop it.

Mark them as spam emails. That will teach your email program that those return addresses are spam, and everyone will benefit from that. Eventually you’ll see less spam because they’ll automatically be put in the spam folder.

Mark them as Spam there – that should feed back to Akismet for spam sorting
